To commemorate Education Development Day, celebrated in honor of the birth anniversary of Karmaveerar K. Kamaraj, the Rotaract Club of United Institute of Technology (UIT), the Interact Club of The United Public School, the All India Book of Records, and the Rotary Club of Coimbatore Elite jointly organized a spectacular World Record event titled “Ezhuthedutha Ekalivan” (The Book-Shaped Formation by Students) at the grounds of United Educational Institutions, Periyanaickenpalayam, Coimbatore.
The programme commenced with the welcome address by Dr. Harini, Principal of The United Public School. The celebrations began with an impressive Educational March Past, followed by the keynote address of the Chief Guest, Mr. Sunil Anand, MLA of Mettupalayam Constituency. In his address, he paid tribute to the invaluable contributions of K. Kamaraj to the field of education and inspired students by emphasizing the transformative power of education in building a brighter future.
The highlight of the event was the World Record attempt, during which students formed the shape of an open book measuring 140 feet in length and 80 feet in width. The remarkable formation was officially recognized as a World Record by the All India Book of Records. Following the record-setting achievement, all participating students took a pledge reaffirming their commitment to the value and importance of education.
The World Record was officially verified and certified by Dr. S. E. Venkatesan, Managing Trustee and Chief Mentor of the All India Book of Records and the All India World Records Virtual University, marking the successful culmination of this memorable celebration of education and student excellence.
