Field Trip - 01/08/2019

On 1st August of 2019, students from grade 6 to grade 8 students went on a field trip to a weaver’s house in Sami chettipalayam. The main objective of the trip was to make the students understand about the weaving of fabric to cloth. The person explained to us about the weaving process, how yarn is rotated as thread in bundle and finally how it is wound for the weaving. They also showed the various design and practically weaved silk saree with different designs. All students observed carefully and cleared with all doubts they had. This was a best practical field trip since students also tried in the weaving of fabrics.
