Technological advancement has grown at an exponential rate in the past few decades. Modern day living has become completely dependent on technology which has permeated all aspects of our existence. The child of the 21st Century has proverbially been “born to it”. Schools have had to keep abreast with these new trends which have had an important impact on education as well. Integrating technology into the teaching learning process has been a major concern for us. The computer lab is open to students for projects, research, presentations and assignments. They are allowed to book their time slots for independent work and group study. On most days the lab is a hub of inter-disciplinary activity; its easy accessibility has made study and work interesting and challenging with the students trying to excel. It is a place where students can learn and explore various mathematics concepts and verify various mathematical facts and theorems using variety of activities and it is well equipped with necessary kits and tools. It provides an opportunity to the students to understand and internalize the basic mathematical concepts through concrete objects and situations. It provides greater scope for individual participation in the process of learning and becoming autonomous learners.
The chemistry lab is fully equipped to ensure that students are in touch with all the latest developments and techniques in this realm. The environment and setting of the lab nurture the intuitive and inquisitive minds of the children and enhance their zest to make scientific enquiries. The teachers and the highly trained lab staff provide an atmosphere conducive to learning not just in theory but by applying it practically.’
Working and experimenting in a laboratory forms the basis and is quintessentially what physics is all about. Applying theoretical knowledge and using it in experiments is the most effective way to master the subject. Our school encourages and stands for all round-development of its students and in keeping with that spirit, we have a well-equipped and outfitted physics laboratory to foster and expedite learning in the most effective way. The laboratory promotes the spirit of investigation and testing and serves the learning interests of primary to senior secondary students. It is set up in accordance with the requirements and specifications of the Board for Physics.
Our school is renowned for instilling discipline and affecting every aspect of a student’s life. We strive to teach our children from a real-life perspective and therefore take special interest in educating them in science. As a subject, science includes the observation, deployment and understanding of actual materials and objects. To ensure that students practice what they learn, we have separate laboratories and this portion will talk about the biology laboratory.
The laboratory is well-structured, airy, spacious, well-lit and replete with all the required equipments and tools. The materials are in abundance to allow each child to freely explore the secrecies of living organisms and sort out theoretical difficulties through experimentation.
